CHARTERHOUSE LEAVERS' BALL 2024

Each household will have the option to purchase tickets for additional family members. Please note we are unable to accommodate siblings under the age of 18.

Tickets will be added to the end of Quarter bill and for this reason, we request that parents or guardians complete the ticket request. Upon arrival at the Leavers’ Ball, guests will be required to enter through their House gazebo where wristbands will be provided. All guests will be required to wear a wristband throughout the event.  It will not be possible to buy tickets at the door on the evening and all tickets must be confirmed in advance. There is no need to bring a physical ticket or a reference with you on the evening.

The School will be closed after Leaving Chapel on Saturday 29 June.  All guests will be required to leave campus and to return for the start of the Ball.

 Each pupil must have a confirmed adult to act as their guardian for the entirety of the evening. It is not possible for members of Charterhouse staff to act as guardians on the evening. If a guardian is needed, parents are encouraged to ask other parents from their House to act as a guardian as pupils will be sat in House groups for dinner.  

The Foundation Office must receive confirmation in writing from both parties (the parents of the pupil as well as the confirmed guardian) which must be emailed to Foundation@charterhouse.org.uk. Guardians are responsible for ensuring pupils leave campus at the end of the Ball.

Tickets for the Ball are only available to 2024 Leavers, current Second Year Specialists and the adults who are accompanying them. We are unable to accommodate any younger siblings.

 Our booking form has relevant space to detail any dietary requirements for you or members of your party. These can also be sent by email to Foundation@charterhouse.org.uk.

Ball attendees should arrive on the evening via Prince’s Avenue where they will be directed to the drop-off point or to Lessington for those who wish to park for the evening. Pick-up will be from Prince’s Avenue. Please note that the local taxi service may be very stretched on the evening and we recommend pre-booking taxis. The Sat Nav Reference for this entry point is GU7 2DE. If you are chaperoning a graduating pupil, please ensure that final transportation arrangements have been made for the pupil to leave campus following the Ball. The bars will shut at 11:30pm for carriages at 12 midnight.

The Leavers’ Ball is a black-tie event and glamorous dress is encouraged for all. It can get chilly later in the evening so an additional layer is strongly recommended. Cloakroom facilities are available at the Ball.

All leaving pupils are welcome to attend the Leavers' Ball. Those who have not reached the age of 18 will be given a wristband of different colour and will not be served alcohol. Those over the age of 18 are not permitted to buy alcohol for those who are not yet 18.

A cash bar will be open on the evening. Wines from a short wine list can also be ordered in advance, when booking your ticket(s) and will be charged to your final Quarter bill. All advance orders will be available at the beginning of the meal. Wine by the bottle will be available to purchase on the evening, but will be limited in stock, and so we recommend advance booking to avoid disappointment.

Only drinks purchased on the site can be consumed at the event.
